We came back from Euroluce 2015 more enthusiastic than usual. Besides having seen with pleasure lots friends and colleagues, we cheered for winning first place in the competition Young & Design 2015, thanks to our new collection Mikado, brand Morosini, by Filippo Mambretti.

This historic competition, organized on the occasion of Salone del Mobile, was born with the aim of giving greater visibility to young designers. The jury, made up of leading figures from the world of architecture and design, boasted the presence of: Luciano Galimberti, ADI president, Federica Sala, design critic, Giuseppe Bavuso, Ilaria Marelli, Mauro Lipparini and Massimo Iosa Ghini, ex-winners of the contest.

“The good interpretation by Filippo Mambretti of the Italian tradition contaminated by other cultures”: this is the main reason that led to the jury’s choice. The collection Mikado has also achieved resounding success thanks to the invention of the cable as a decorative function and the relationship between the volume of the lamp and its empty space.

Starting from minimalism, Mikado goes beyond the concept of light: it is almost like having a real sculpture of contemporary art. The movement, transmitted through a twine of floating lines and planes, generates interesting structures, sometimes very complex.

Great joy and satisfaction for our young designer therefore, awarded by Enrico Tagliabue, Tabu President , one of the sponsors of contest.

Mikado is one of flagships of the new Morosini collections introduced during Euroluce 2015. The pdf with all new collections of this year will shortly be available on our website.

Congratulations once again to Filippo Mambretti.
